Media Skills
This
course is designed to help individuals who may be asked to speak to the press
to provide a verbal statement, sound bite or interview. It provides advice
on how to give the press the information that they need in the way in which
they want to hear it.
We will cover the different approaches in making statements to journalisms
from various areas of the media including radio, television and the papers
Understanding the Media
This session
gives an insight into how the media works and shows what the journalists consider
to be news-making material. Focusing more on the written aspects of media
interaction, training will be provided into the writing and presentation of
press releases.
We will show how best to ensure a journalist will include your release in
their bulletin.
Communications
Delegates
taking part in this course will take an in depth look at the key principles
of communication. The ability to use communcations effectively, especially
when talking to the media is essential.
Within this course, we incorporate how to use communications to make the best
use of our delegates' skills, whatever their line of work.
All of our seminars are approximately three hours in duration
and can be held either between 10am and 1pm or 2pm and 5pm. Smoking is not
permitted during the course. The use of video cameras and audio recordings
is not compulsory, but can be used if requested by the client.
